Resurfacing and reconstruction on several well-traveled roads in Gresham will occur Monday, Aug. 5, through Friday, Aug. 23. Electronic message boards will transmit road closure notices. Residents are encouraged to take alternate routes.

The project begins on Monday, Aug. 5, with reconstruction on Northeast 181st Avenue between Northeast Halsey Street and Northeast Glisan Street from 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. and will continue at the same location and hours Tuesday, Aug.6, and Wednesday, Aug. 7. Roads will not close.

Reconstruction on Southeast 282nd Avenue from Southeast Chase Road to south city limits will occur from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, and Friday, Aug. 9. Traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction.

From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11, Southeast Butler Road will close between Southwest Towle Road and Southeast Regner Road. Pavement resurfacing will also occur on Southeast 1st Street and Southeast 3rd Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. the same day.

From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 12, Northeast 29th Street from Southwest 257th Avenue to Northeast Hale Avenue at Mt. Hood Community College will be resurfaced. There will be no parking all day. From Monday, Aug. 12, to Friday, Aug. 16, Southeast Fifth Street between Southeast Hogan Drive and Southeast Spruce Avenue will be closed for reconstruction.

From Monday, Aug. 19, to Friday, Aug. 23, Southeast Powell Valley Road will be closed to traffic from Northeast Burnside Road to Southeast Kane Drive for pavement reconstruction, new westbound through lane, sidewalks and bike lanes.
