School resumes and parents are asked to come to the office in person if they want to take their students out of school.

The Thursday morning lockdown at Barlow High School has been lifted after Gresham police determined a report of a student with a gun was a hoax.

One person was detained and interviewed during the investigation. Through the interview with the student in question, and further investigations, police determined the lockdown was no longer needed.

The lockdown began about 11:10 a.m. and was lifted about 1 p.m.

In a lockdown nobody is allowed in or out of the building. Students remain in their classrooms and the classroom door is locked.

The district asks any parents who wish to take their children home to first stop by the office in person.

The Outlook will update this story as more information becomes available.
