Stepping On is geared for people 65 years old or older, that have fallen in the past year.

Are you worried about falling or have an elderly loved one you are concerned about? Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center, 24800 S.E. Stark St., is hosting a series of workshops starting Tuesday, Sept. 25, to give people information and exercises on how to prevent falls.

Stepping On is geared for people 65 years old or older, that have fallen in the past year or are fearful of falling, live at home and do not have dementia. Falls are the leading cause of hospital stays for injury or death among older adults.

More than one-third of those 65 years old and older fall each year. The seven-week, two-hour session workshop series is $10. Space is limited.‚ Call 503-674-1123 for reservations or for more information.
