Energy Center remains cause for concern

I found the rebuttal article on the Troutdale Energy Center power plant to be interesting (“Power plant developers refute claims of environmental harm,” The Outlook, Feb. 11.)

Since when are the U.S. Forest Service and Oregon Pilots Association environmental groups?

The article also refers to the release of “small amounts of carbon dioxide.” From Exhibit M of the application, the plant will produce 3.1 million tons of CO2 per year.

I guess it is a matter of perspective.

Living 2 miles from the proposed site, I have concerns about how “clean” this facility will be.

Glad to see kids getting involved

Loved the story about Reynolds students bringing valentines and baked goods to the Marquis Centennial residents. Such a blessing, thank you.
