Davasyia Haggers touchdown grab with 0:12 to play lifts Beaverton to the 16-13 win

by: THE OUTLOOK: DAVID BALL - Reynolds Josh Hawkinson pulls down an interception in front of Beavertons Davasyia Hagger in the first half Friday.

Beaverton scored twice in the last two minutes Friday night to beat Reynolds 16-13.

The Raiders appeared on the verge of putting the game away when Caleb Chavez intercepted a Beaverton pass at the goal line to protect a late 13-7 lead.

But a penalty on the return put Reynolds in the shadow of its own goalpost, and the Beaverton defense collected a safety.

The two points trimmed the lead slightly, but more importantly it gave the ball back to the Beavers who made the most of their second chance.

Quarterback Kyle Eckrosh found Davasyia Hagger in the end zone for an 8-yard touchdown that provided the winning points with 0:12 on the clock.

Reynolds QB Josh Schleining tossed a pair of second-quarter TDs — the first going 16 yards to Chavez and the second going 29 yards to Kanyon Flynn — to give the Raiders a 13-0 lead at halftime.
