MHC BOYS HOOPS - Xavier Tarver hits some big 3s in the 4th quarter to land Centennial a 52-45 win
by: David Ball Centennial guard Xavier Tarver drives to the basket during Friday’s win.

TROUTDALE - Centennial came up with all the answers in crunch time to slip past Reynolds 52-45 on Friday night.

Reynolds had the gym rocking early in the fourth quarter when Chris Lambert blocked a shot, then stood under the basket warning Centennial not to come back to the rim. The Eagles coughed the ball up in the corner of the court and Mitchell Keltner went the other way for a layin to give Reynolds a 37-35 lead - it's first since the opening minutes of the game.

Centennial's Xavier Tarver answered the challenge with back-to-back 3s, and Cam Croonquist added another long ball from the corner off an inbounds play to put the Eagles in front for good with 3:02 on the clock.
