Hundreds will be hired at new office, a leading cloud computing company, will open an office and hire hundreds of people in Hillsboro.

Mayor Jerry Willey welcomed the company to town, saying, “We are glad has chosen Hillsboro for their new office location. They will be making use of a building that has been vacant for awhile and their commitment to sustainability fits well with the City’s values. We are pleased to welcome them to our business community.”

The announcement was made Monday by Business Oregon, the state's economic development department. According to the department, the company "chose the location to recruit from the incredible talent pool in the Pacific Northwest for a variety of positions including finance, IT support, legal support, customer service and human resources."

The department also praised the company's commitment to the environment, saying, "Sustainability is very important to the company, and's new office will be LEED Gold certified and have no disposables with all cups and dishes reusable and washable. Eco-friendly commuting is also highly encouraged and will have an on-site bike shop for do-it-yourself repairs and bike share options."

Founded in 1999, has approximately 10,000 employees worldwide. It was named by Forbes Magazine as the World's Most Innovative Company in both 2011 and 2012, and has been named to FORTUNE Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For" list for five consecutive years.

During the recruitment process, participated in the department's new Business Expansion Program. Business Oregon worked with local and regional partners including Greater Portland Inc., the city of Hillsboro and others to recruit the company to the state.

The new office will be located at 2035 N.W. Cornelius Pass Road in Hillsboro, Oregon. It was formerly occupied by the Synopsys software company.
