Tanker spill closes NW Cornelius Pass Road
A tractor-trailer carrying liquid fetilized rolled over and blocked Northwest Cornelius Pass Road shortly before noon on Wednesday.
The driver, who was not immediately available, had only minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The road, which is becoming a growing commuting route between Multnomah and Washington counties, was expected to remain closed between Northwest Skyline Boulevard and US Highway 30 through the evening rush hour. Drivers were advised to find alternative routes.
According to the sheriff's office, at approximately 11:40 a.m. on July 10, sheriff's deputies and Tualatin Valley Fire responded to the report of a tractor trailer-tanker that had rolled on its side at the intersection of Northwest Cornelius Pass Road and Northwest 8th Avenue. They treated the driver and coordinated the clean up work.
