Portland and Western will replace the railroad crossing, including the ties and track, at Southeast Minter Bridge Road.

The railroad crossing at the intersection of Southeast Minter Bridge Road and Southeast Tualatin Valley Highway will close beginning Oct. 20 for maintenance and repairs.

The closure, which should last until Oct. 24, will allow a Portland and Western Railroad crew to replace concrete crossing panels, track, railroad ties and asphalt.

Drivers will be rerouted onto Southeast River Road and Southeast 24th Avenue during the closure.

The work is part of Hillsboro's program aimed at improving pavement conditions throughout the city.
