Driver crashes into patrol car near Hillsboro during snowy Sunday commute
A Washington County patrol car was hit by another car as deputies were responding to a crash south of Hillsboro on Sunday morning.
Deputies responded after a car slid off the road and crashed into a ditch near Bald Peak Road and Laurel Road shortly after 9 a.m., Feb. 18.
According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the deputy's vehicle was blocking off the area when a second vehicle slid through the scene — striking the patrol car.
No one was injured in either crash.
Shortly after the incident, the Washington County Sheriff's Office reminded the public to be careful on roads as the mixture of snow and rain makes for a slick combination.
Please #slowdown and give extra room. While on scene of a crash with the red car, the black car slid into our squad. No one hurt but it’s slick out there!— WC Sheriff's Office (@WCSheriff) February 18, 2018
