Elana Rocha-DeLeos was hit by a car at Century Boulevard while walking to work, police say.

A Hillsboro woman died Thursday morning while walking to work after she was struck by a car near Century Boulevard, according to Hillsboro Police.

Elana Rocha-DeLeos, 62, was crossing Johnson Street at Century Boulevard at 6:53 a.m., March 15, when she was struck by a car turning left onto Johnson, according to Lt. Henry Reimann with the Hillsboro Police Department.

A good Samaritan found Rocha-DeLeos and gave her CPR before first responders arrived. Firefighters took over CPR, but Rocha-DeLeos died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with police, Reimann said. No charges have been filed.

The case is still under investigation.
