COURTESY PHOTO - A tractor fell off a trailer on Sunday, May 20, pinning a 70-year-old man in Cornelius.A man was pinned by a tractor in rural Hillsboro on Sunday, May 20 — suffering injuries that required him to be airlifted to a local hospital.

According to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue spokesman Stefan Myers, first-responders were called to a home in the 9000 block of Hillsboro Highway, about five miles south of the Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve, at around 11:20 a.m.

According to Myers, a 70-year-old man at the home had been moving a tractor onto a trailer when it somehow tipped and fell, pinning the man underneath the large piece of farming equipment.

Firefighters from TVF&R's station in Midway were able to extracate the man and transported by Life Flight helicopter to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland.

According to Myers the man suffered "critical" injuries in the incident.

Hillsboro Fire also responded to the incident.
