         Officials with the Washington County Sheriff's Office say a man driving a stolen car led deputies on a high speed chase through Washington County before he was eventually arrested south of Hillsboro early Friday morning

           Kimo Utuutuvanu, 41, of Aloha, was reportedly driving a stolen 2016 Honda Civic shortly before 1 a.m., Friday, June 1, near Baseline Road and Southwest 185th Avenue in Aloha.

Utuutuvanu, who had warrants outstanding for his arrest, was reportedly wearing a wig to avoid being recognized, but a deputy spotted the stolen Honda he was driving and attempted to pull the vehicle over.

Instead, a spokesman with the Washington County Sheriff's Office said, the driver sped off, leading authorities on a chase that at times reached speeds of 90 miles per hour.

Deputies chased the vehicle for 11 miles through Aloha and Hillsboro, and tried a handful of times to stop the vehicle. Deputies reportedly used spike strips to blow the car's tires, but the driver kept going. Eventually, deputies were able to force the vehicle off the road in the 19600 block of Southwest Tile Flat Road, but the driver allegedly rammed a police car in the process, then ran off on foot when the vehicle stopped.

A police canine ran after Utuutuvanu, who allegedly tried to kick and punch the dog, deputies said. The canine bit Utuutuvanu and deputies Tased him before he was arrested.

          Utuutuvanu faces a litany of charges, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of felony attempt to allude, misdemeanor attempt to elude, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, driving while suspended, resisting arrest, attempted assault on a law enforcement animal, possession of heroin and forgery.

Police said Utuutuvanu also eluded police in May, and had a felony warrant for a third pursuit and a state parole violation.

Deputies also arrested Kaylee Hathaway, 29, of Forest Grove, who was in the passenger seat of the stolen vehicle. Hathaway was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She had three outstanding warrants, two for failing to make court appearances and a probation violation.
