Hillsboro woman arrested after eluding police, flipping car
Washington County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a woman after she flipped her car in Hillsboro while eluding authorities Saturday night.
Cathie F. Ropati, 22, of Hillsboro, was arrested Aug. 18 on multiple charges.
According to deputies, Ropati was recklessly driving a 1995 Honda Civic near 185th Avenue and Walker Road in Hillsboro at about 10:40 p.m., when she drove past a deputy on patrol.
When the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, Ropati allegedly attempted to drive away.
A short pursit ended in the 3600 block of Northwest John Olsen Place, authorities said, when the vehicle struck a curb, a tree and then lost control, flipping onto its top.
No one was injured, deputies said.
Deputies learned Ropati was a wanted felon. Ropati allegedly absconded on drug charges, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
In addition to her previous charges, Ropati is also charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, attempt to elude, second-degree criminal mischief and two counts of reckless endangering.
