Crews plan inspect sewer lines along three roadways in the city starting Sept. 16.

Drivers in Hillsboro be aware: routine maintenance of the city's storm system will mean some delays on Hillsboro roads over the next several days.

Starting Sunday, Sept. 16 crews plan inspect sewer lines along three roadways in the city for storm sewer pipe cleaning. The city cleans its pipelines every four years. The storm sewer system carries rainwater and other drainage to rivers and streams.

Portions of Northeast 59th Avenue, Northeast Evergreen Parkway and Northeast Imbrie Drive will be impacted between 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. through Sept. 20, the city announced on Monday.

The roads will remain open, but motorists are asked to keep an eye out for city equipment, which may cause minor delays on the roads in the evenings.

Crews will inspect 59th Avenue between Evergreen Parkway and Bennett Street; as well as Evergreen Parkway between 59th Avenue and Cornelius Pass Road, and Imbrie Drive between Evergreen Parkway and Cornelius Pass Road.

Imbrie Drive will be reduced to one lane of traffic. The road will re-open to two-way traffic each morning by 4:30 a.m., according to city officials.
