Later this month, Liberty High School’s Department of Theatre, Peregrine Productions, will stage Tom Stoppard’s comic farce “On The Razzle,” the story of two employees who take advantage of their boss’ absence to have a day on the town.

Based on the same Austrian comedy as “Hello Dolly” and “The Match Maker,” this is the second Stoppard play Liberty has produced.

A multiple Tony and Laurence Olivier Award winner, playwright Tom Stoppard is perhaps best known for “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.”

“Stoppard’s unique writing style allows for freedom of interpretation, while increasing one’s vocabulary and world view,” director Janet Van Wess said. “He is one of the most gifted and prolific playwrights of the last 50 years, with no two works being remotely like the other.”
