The city of Lake Oswego’s Urban and Community Forestry program is offering a series of workshops. All are free and open to the public with preregistration.

The first class in the series has been held. The May 11 session will focus on tree biology and structure, followed by a session on landscapes to lower your energy bill on June 8; tree protection and removal permits on July 18; and invasive plants and trees on Aug. 10.

Buy tickets now for Lake Oswego Historic Home Tour

Tickets are now on sale for the sixth annual Lake Oswego Historic Home Tour to be held May 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organized by the Oswego Heritage Council the tour features five historic gardens and homes. Get Arbor Day Foundation’s tree care booklet
