Associated Mortgage Group now Associated Mortgage Brokers

To more accurately reflect their core business, Associated Mortgage Group’s stockholders have adopted a new business name: Associated Mortgage Brokers (AMB).

“As brokers, we offer all of the rates and programs from a wide range of lenders, giving our clients a better choice,” said Dave Jolivette, firm co-founder.

From their office in Portland’s John’s Landing area, AMB has served homebuyers and refinancing home owners throughout Oregon and Washington since 1989, providing more than $2 billion in home loans. The owners of the company are Dave Jolivette, Tom Hendrickson, Sandi Swinford of Lake Oswego and Matt Jolivette.

The Bank of Oswego restructures community team

The Bank of Oswego has restructured its community banking division, advancing a veteran of retail banking while adding commercial lending officers at the flagship location in Lake Oswego.

Hillary Hess has taken on the position of vice president of branch banking, which focuses on serving customers, new deposits and sales. She joined the bank in March 2010. She oversees the downtown and Lake Grove branch banking teams. She can be reached at 503-445-3128.

Peter Novak has been named vice president of commercial banking. A Lake Oswego resident, Novak participates in both business development and local initiatives, while striving to enhance community growth. He holds a MBA from University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He can be reached at 503-445-3122.

Christina Baker joins The Bank of Oswego as a commercial lending officer. Her business development background offers knowledge and skill in providing small business owners with a variety of lending options and services. She is a Portland State University graduate. Martin joins The Bank of Oswego

Donna Martin has joined The Bank of Oswego as a compliance officer. Her responsibilities include developing, administering and monitoring programs for compliance with laws, regulations and rules governing operations and product offerings for the community-based bank.

She was most recently employed with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China headquartered in New York. Prior to that she held corporate, government and nonprofit auditing positions in California and Oregon, advising senior management and boards of directors in areas of significant risk.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Linfield College and is in the process of acquiring accreditation as a Certified Community Banking Compliance Officer, anticipated this April.

Becker appointed to county Soil and Water district

Clackamas County Soil and Water Conservation District has appointed Jeff Becker to serve as Zone 3 director representing Canby and the surrounding area. Becker has worked closely with the district since spring 2012, when he was appointed to serve on the district budget committee. He was appointed in January 2013 to serve as an associate board member.

Becker is a local farmer and a property manager of the president’s residence at Lewis & Clark College. He is currently the board president of the Oregon City Farmers’ Market.

Soil and Water Commission honored by Oregon Department of Agriculture

The Clackamas County Soil and Water Conservation District was awarded the Cooperator of the Year Award by the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) at the annual Agriculture Progress Awards dinner in Salem. The district received the award in recognition of its commitment to conservation and for working with ODA to support its Agricultural Water Quality Program. Clackamas shares this award with Wasco County Soil and Water Conservation District located in The Dalles, Ore.

GS Testing, a full service Department of Transportation and non-Department of Transportation collection site, has opened in Lake Oswego. The company is owned by Joseph “Pappy” Corbitt, BS Pharmacy, and William Fahey, Jr., and is staffed by professional DOT-qualified collectors and breath alcohol technicians. The company also offers inservice eduation classes for human resource departments and employees with regard to the signs, symptoms and physiology of drug use and abuse.
