The first show is scheduled for Oct. 21 at Reed College

Tickets to the PGMC  2012-13 season are available now.  The Portland Gay Men’s Chorus has put together an innovative series of four mainstage concerts for its 33rd season, Color it Music.

The series includes “Classical Matinee: Love and Marriage,” Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. at Kaul Auditorium at Reed College; “The Most Wonderful Season,” Dec. 14, 15 and 16 at Newmark Theatre, Portland Center for the Performing Arts; “Jazzify!,” March 16 and 17 at Kaul Auditorium; and “Show Tunes! Bill Dickey’s Big Broadway Bash” on June 15 at 7 p.m. at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, PCPA.

Offered this year is a new and more flexible a la carte ticket purchasing system. Audience members receive a 15 percent discount for purchasing tickets for all four shows; pick three shows and receive a 10 percent discount, or pick two shows and receive a 5 percent discount.

For the “Jazzify!” concert, Kaul Auditorium will be transformed into a jazz club with tables of 10 on the floor level. Audience members can upgrade their subscriptions to table seats for $18 per subscription (price includes two complimentary drinks). The Portland Gay Men’s Chorus is led by artistic director Bob Mensel, who is minister of music at Christ Church Episcopal Parish in Lake Oswego.
