The Lake Oswego Business Association, in partnership with the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce, is preparing for a premiere event - a Wine Walk Nov. 2 from 3 to 6 p.m. in downtown Lake Oswego.

The event involves 26 downtown businesses.

“During the Wine Walk attendees will be able to spend the afternoon walking around Lake Oswgeo’s downtown business district and experience the hospitality of LO’s boutique shops while sampling two premium wines at each location along with delicious nibbles provided by Lake Oswego’s best food establishments,” said Bob Martinsson, co-chairman of the event. Each ticket will allow the holder to wine tastings at eight of the locations.

The idea first came to chamber member Carol Winston, owner of Accessories From the Heart, who envisioned people from throughout the metropolitan area attending the walk and discovering charming Lake Oswego businesses.

“People can also preview gift ideas while tasting wines for Thanksgiving or winter parties,” she said. “And since our downtown area is so easy to navigate, attendees are in for a fun day of experiencing the special ambience of our picturesque town while strolling from shop to shop, enjoying fine wine, wonderful food, art and music.”

Event co-chairwoman Susan Olson of World Class Wines has selected both Northwest and wines from around the world, including many varietals.

“There will be something for everyone, champagne and sparkling wines at the two check-in locations as well as reds, whites and even sake. Wineries, winemakers and distributors will be educating and pouring exceptional wines that new wine drinkers as well as wine aficionados will appreciate and want to pour at holiday gatherings and throughout the winter months,” Olson said.

Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at Accessories From the Heart, Grapevine, Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce, World Class Wines and Step it Up Ballroom Dance Studio and online at Only 400 tickets will be sold.
