Three Marylhurst authors will read their work as the Peregrine Literary Series continues Sunday at 7 p.m. at Holy Names Heritage Center, 17425 Holy Names Drive, Lake Oswego. This event coincides with the 120 Years of Marylhurst weekend celebration.

Marylhurst alumna Cathy McGuire and Marie Buckley will read new and published works. McGuire’s most recent books, “Palimpsests” and “Glimpses,” are collections of poems. Buckley’s work appears in the collection “Quartets.”

The third author is Catherine Garvin, a Marylhurst student who has produced a short fiction piece, “Mermaid Black Fin Under the Sellwood Bridge.”

The program is hosted by Marylhurst University writing instructor and author Joan Maiers and is free and open to the public.

Attendees are asked to bring donations of canned foods for the Oregon Food Bank.
