Several interesting events will take place at the Lake Oswego Public Library this month. The events are free and open to the public through the support of the Friends of the Lake Oswego Library. The library is located at 706 Fourth St.

  • Teens can get tarot readings

    Teens in grades eight and up are invited to get personal tarot card readings from Alana Javerty from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.   • Learn about home-swapping vacations

    Sara Tetreault, a frugal living expert and creator of, will share her tips on living well with less. In particular, she will share information about home swapping as a way of travel at 7 p.m. March 11 at the Lake Oswego Public Library. She has completed 10 home exchanges in the past nine years, allowing her family to travel to Austria, France, Spain and the Netherlands.

  • Hear dramatic recitation of “Man of Words”

    Rickie Birran will perform “Man of Words,” a dramatic recitation of selections from classic works of poetry, prose and plays at 1 p.m. March 12. Birran uses the theatrical, musical and storytelling arts to bring reading and literature to life to enrich, encourage, enlighten and entertain.
