Willamette Falls Symphony to hold spring concert

The Willamette Falls Symphony Orchestra will hold a spring concert at 3 p.m. April 13 at the Oregon City United Methodist Church, 18955 S. South End Road in Oregon City. Dr. Mark Perlman will conduct.

The program will include pieces by Brahms, Mozart, Elgar, Strauss and American composer Morten Lauridsen.

Tickets are $12 for general admission, $10 for seniors and children older than 12.

Children younger than 12 are admitted free with an adult. Tickets will be available at the door.

Hear Kenny Lavitz at local venues

West Linn musician Kenny Lavitz will be playing at a variety of venues through the month of March.

You can hear him play with the Kenny Lavitz Kombo at 9 p.m. March 28 at Montavilla Station, 417 SE 80th Ave., Portland, and in a solo performance at 8 p.m. March 29 at Oregon Gardens Resort.

Greg Nokes to speak at West Linn library

West Linn author Greg Nokes will speak about his new book, “Breaking Chains: Slavery on Trial in the Oregon Territory” at 6:30 p.m. March 24 at the West Linn Public Library, 1595 Burns St.
