by: SUBMITTED PHOTO - Artist and writer Vicki Krohn Amorose will lead a workshop for artists to teach them to promote their work effectively. The workshop is sponsored by the Arts Council of Lake Oswego and will be held April 12.

The Arts Council of Lake Oswego is offering “Art-Write: A Marketing Workshop for Professional Artists” from 3 to 5 p.m. April 12. The workshop will be led by Vicki Krohn Amorose at 510 Museum and ARTspace, 510 First St. in Lake Oswego.

“Today’s artist must not only possess the talent and technique to successfully craft their artwork, it is essential they have the necessary tools to describe their work through the written word,” Arts Council Executive Director Nancy Nye said. “Art-Write is designed to help visual artists compose articulate statements that clearly define the essence of their work. Teacher and author Vicki Krohn Amorose uses proven techniques to demystify the ‘art’ of self-promotion, allowing artists to describe their work with clarity and confidence.”

Registration fee is $35, which includes Amorose’s book. Registration can be completed online at or by calling 503-675-3738.

Amorose is an artist and writer. She receive a bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Academy of Art University San Francisco. She lives in Eugene.
