VISITORS FROM SISTER CITY — The city of Lake Oswego will welcome students from Yoshikawa City, Japan, at Luscher Farm. The annual visit will include a tour and refreshments, and will take place Monday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

EXPECT DELAYS ON HIGHWAY 43, PATH — Starting Monday, ODOT crews will remove hazardous tree limbs that are hanging over Highway 43 and the shared use path parallel to the highway between Laurel Street and McVey Avenue. The process requires flaggers to stop all traffic on both the highway and the path for up to 15 minutes at a time. Work will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, April 11.

UPDATES TO DEVELOPMENT CODE — Downtown, Lake Grove, West Lake Grove and Old Town neighborhood associations will meet for an informational public meeting and roundtable discussion about changes proposed to the city’s Community Development Code on Thursday, March 27, 6 to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers.

ONGOING UNDERAGE SALES OPERATIONS — The Lake Oswego Police Department will be conducting operations through March to ensure businesses licensed to sell alcohol are following the law and asking for identification from any purchaser who appears to be 26 years old or younger. Failure to do so is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to a year in jail and fines.
