PREPARING FOR BABY — The Lake Oswego Library and Pediatric Associates of the Northwest offer a series of programs for expectant mothers and women exploring the idea of pregnancy. Presentations are largely focused on nutrition, specifically ideal pregnancy diet, managing morning sickness, dealing with cravings and common digestive issues, as well as safe physical activity during pregnancy. The program will also address breastfeeding. Presentations are led by dietician Connie Evers and are free. They will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on May 15 and May 29. To register, call 503-675-2538.

FARMERS MARKET — This year’s Lake Oswego Farmers’ Market opens Saturday, May 17, and will continue each Saturday through Oct. 11 at Millennium Plaza Park. Farmers Market hours are 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
