CITY COUNCIL SESSION TUESDAY — The City Council will continue its discussion of updates to the Transportation System Plan on Tuesday, July 29. There will also be a public hearing on the issue of annexing a nearly two-acre property at 14061 Goodall Road to the City of Lake Oswego. The session will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Lake Oswego City Hall, 380 A Ave.

TEEN SERVICE CORPS CAMP GIVES 130 HOURS — A group of 13 teen volunteers improved Pennington Park last week by spreading gravel on trails, pulling ivy off trees and various other tasks.

RESIDENTIAL BUILDING PERMITS ISSUED — The city’s building division issued two new residential structural permits, one on Ridgeview Court and one on Lakeview Boulevard, and two demolition permits, one on Lakeview Boulevard and one on Uplands Drive.

PLANNING COMMISSION ELECTION RESULTS — Commissioner Randy Arthur was elected chairman of the Planning Commission; Commissioner Ed Brockman was elected vice chair.

LAKE OSWEGO-TIGARD WATER PARTNERSHIP PROGRESS — Currently, seven new buildings are being constructed at the water treatment plant in West Linn, including the solids storage tank, dewatering building, chemical building, gravity thickener and electrical building.
