5/22/18 12:09 p.m. A power washer, furniture, toys and other miscelleneous belongings were taken from the backyard of a vacant home on Rogers Road. The theft was discovered when the homeowner arrived to move the items.
5/22/18 12:56 p.m. A woman caught a thief trying to break into her Toyota Corolla on Boones Ferry Road. Nothing was taken, but the car's lock was broken.
5/22/18 3:40 p.m. In the latest in a string of car break-ins at the dog park on Stafford Road, thieves smashed a window and stole a purse from a silver Lexus; a couple of hours later, someone smashed the window of a Nissan Rogue and took a purse from that vehicle.
5/22/18 8:05 p.m. Two men left a store on Boones Ferry Road without paying for three bags of groceries. They were last seen heading north from the store in a green hatchback.
5/23/18 9:27 a.m. A woman who left her white Lexus unlocked told police that someone had rummaged through the vehicle overnight for the third time in the past few months. Nothing was reported missing.

5/27/18 9:49 a.m. Ipod accessories, an owner's manual, house keys and vehicle registration was taken overnight from a Range Rover on Atwater Road. The SUV may have been left unlocked, its owner said.

5/24/18 11:15 a.m. Scammers called a Lake Oswego resident and told her that her grandson needed money to be bailed out of jail. She didn't comply, she said, but she did give the callers her home address and — in a twist to the usual scam — the fraudsters promised to send a FedEx driver to pick up the cash. Sure enough, a FedEx truck arrived two hours later with an envelope and instructions for the woman to send money to New Jersey. Instead, she called police.

5/18/18 3:26 p.m. A woman told police she believes a man was fliming her while she climbed the stairs between a clothing outlet and a child care facility on Monroe Parkway. The man had his phone pointed at her until she turned and noticed him, the woman said, and then he quickly put it down.
5/18/18 4:27 p.m. A woman told police she received a letter demanding $8,300 in Bitcoin. If she didn't pay, the woman said, the letter writer vowed to disclose a secret about her husband.
5/18/18 7:37 p.m. A caller told dispatchers he heard someone shout "Oh my God" and then what sounded like a gunshot coming from somewhere around Fifth Street and Evergreen Road. A police search came up empty.

A mom told police she'd like to know because a neighbor on Oak Meadow Lane was complaining about her kids playing in the pool at night. Thirty minutes later, a loud party on Woodsman Court drew complaints from several neighbors, including one who said as many as 50 kids were at the bash. And a half-hour after that, youngsters on a backyard trampoline prompted calls from a neighbor on West Bay Road.
5/21/18 8:16 a.m. A caller told police he wasn't sure if anyone was living in the white van parked at the end of his dead-end street, but there were blankets covering the windows and a bucket sitting outside.
5/21/18 1:31 p.m. When a computer user at the library got up to stretch his legs for a few minutes, a man who was sitting nearby moved into his seat. He didn't leave any of his personal information on the computer, the caller said, but he's concerned that someone may be trying to get into email accounts and steal information from library patrons on a regular basis.

5/22/18 9:05 a.m. The manager of a business on Bangy Road called police after a man started yelling at one of her employees in the parking lot. Apparantly, the employee had pulled in front of the man on the way to work, prompting him to follow her and confront her in the lot.
5/22/18 3:14 p.m. A parent asked for help in tracking down a 22-year-old son who has been living in downtown Portland and hadn't been heard from in a week.
5/22/18 4:02 p.m. Someone smashed the driver's side rear-view mirror on a blue 2018 Prius while the car's owner was inside the Lake Oswego Public Library on Fourth Street.
5/22/18 5:11 p.m. Lots of teenagers were spotted congregating near The Foundry on Oswego Pointe Drive, and a caller told police she believed they might be responsible for a rash of broken sprinkler heads nearby.
