The first coaches poll of 2017-18 includes votes from two coaches in each league

The high school basketball season is about to get underway, and with it comes the first Class 6A coaches poll of the season.

In the 2017 preseason poll — with votes from two head coaches in each of the state's six Class 6A laeagues — reigning state champion Southridge won 11 of the 12 first-place votes and is ranked first with 118 points.

No. 2 Clackamas got the other first-place vote and is ranked second with 118 points.

The first games of the 2017-18 winter season are scheduled for Wednesday.
