LOHS head coach Steve Coury and the LOYF board will be on hand to answer questions

   With the start of youth football season looming just a month away, Lake Oswego Youth Football is offering the parents of prospective players a chance to get all their questions answered.

LOYF will host a 90-minute informational meeting for parents of incoming seventh- and eighth-graders from 7:30 to 9 p.m. July 17 at the Oregon Wine Reserve, 600 N. State Street in

Lake Oswego.

At the event, which will feature snacks and beverages, Lake Oswego High School head football coach Steve Coury and the LOYF board will hold a question and answer session regarding the LO coaching philosophy, the fundamentals of safe football, community involvement, health and creating friendships.

The event is open to parents of returning players and also to parents whose children have not played previously.

In an email, LOYF Director of Coaching Ed Hutson said "We understand many parents have questions, are on the fence with football, or have opinions to share. We want to get all of those questions answered in a fun platform."
