The Meridian Park Medical Foundation board of trustees recently awarded certficates of appreciation to Lake Oswego Rotary Club leaders Malcom Mathes, Don Irving and Charles Collins for the club’s $10,000 grant supporting the Chest Pain project at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center.

The club’s contribution will significantly impact the medical center’s ability to provide critical cardiac evaluations and post-cardiac care.

The foundation’s board of trustees is nearing the end of a $1 million fundraising campaign for a Chest Pain Center at Legacy Meridian Park.

The campaign, which ends in December, has currently raised 96 percent of the funds needed to ensure advanced cardiac care is available in the south metro community.

The Chest Pain Center will act as an extension of the Emergency Department where low-risk cardiac patients can remain under observation while diagnostic tests are conducted.
