The holidays are upon us so it is an appropriate time to visit some of the most beautifully decorated spaces in Portland. Every hall and room in the Pittock Mansion has been decked, so join your friends from the Lake Oswego Adult Community Center to view the holiday grandeur of this fine old Portland landmark. Tour date is Nov. 21 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Registration is required and space is limited. Members pay $18 and non-members pay $27, fee includes transportation and tour guide. Call 503-635-3758 to register for the tour, classes and lunch. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a suggested donation of $4 for those 60 and older; all others are $5.

Friday, Nov. 15

Lunch is served by Marge and Friends; entrée is Swedish meatballs. At 1 p.m. see the Woodman Chronicles screening of “On the Town.”

Monday, Nov.18

The computer users group meets from 9:30 to 11 a.m.; LO Weekly Walkers meet at 9:15 a.m. in the lobby prior to departure on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Contact Krstl Robbins at 503-635-0041 for details. Lunch served by LOMEA; entrée is baked chicken.

Tuesday, Nov. 19

The Lake Oswego Respite Program begins at 11:30 a.m. The program costs $30 per participant per day and is held Tuesdays and Thursdays ongoing. Contact Berta Derman, human services supervisor, at 503-635-3758 for registration and information. Prearranged bridge meets from noon to 3 p.m. Contact Sharon Paz at 503-636-9757. No cost, membership required. The Caregivers Group meets from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. This group is open to family members and friends caring for older adults with memory issues. No cost and walk-ins are welcome.

Wednesday, Nov. 20

LO Weekly Walkers meet at 9:15 a.m. Lunch served by United Methodist Church; entrée is pork with cranberry sauce. The weekly supervised computer lab runs from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 21

Get your questions answered about Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance enrollment. Meet with a SHIBA volunteer to assess your supplemental provider benefits. Call SHIBA at 503-655-8269 to make an appointment. The Lake Oswego Respite Program begins at 11:30 a.m. Bridge and social group meets from noon to 3 p.m. for open play.
