Sarah and Kirby Saxton

Kirby Saxton and Sarah Cook were married on Jan. 11, 2014, at Living Savior Lutheran Church in Tigard. The Rev. Nathan M. Brandt officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, Gary Cook. She wore a white lace strapless gown and carried a bouquet of hydrangea, garden roses, peonies and peach spray roses.

The bride’s friend, Jessica Knox, was maid of honor. Ariel Cook, sister-in-law of the bride, and Nicole Schnarrs and Lauren Gannon, friends of the bride, served as bride’s maids. Junior bridesmaids were Sarah Sedgewick and Emily Sedgewick, friends of the bride and groom.

Flower girl was Georgia Black and ring bearer was Spencer Black, friends of the bridal couple. The pillow the ring bearer bore was carried at the bride’s parents’ wedding.

John Bingham of West Linn served as best man. David Cook, the bride’s brother, and Brock Linder and Chris Mastrandrea, friends of the groom, were groomsmen.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Laurie Cook of West Linn. She graduated from West Linn High School in 2003 and Arizona State University in 2008. She graduated from Mt. Hood Community College in 2010 and is employed at Kaiser Permanente as a dental hygienist.

The groom is the son of Elizabeth Hazelton of Vancouver, Wash. He graduated from West Linn High School in 2004 and is employed in food service at B.J. Willy’s in West Linn.

Honored guests at the wedding were the bride’s grandparents, Charles and Anita Daniels and Irene Cook, and the groom’s grandmother, Mrs. Shirley Swenson.

Dinner was served at the church following the ceremony.

The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia in the Caribbean. The couple lives in Happy Valley.
