Don't miss Spaghetti Dinner and Antique Car Show
The Friends of the West Linn Adult Community Center is planning its annual Spaghetti Dinner and Classic Car Show, a "fun-raiser" that's scheduled for June 23 at the center. Volunteers are working diligently on what promises to be a truly fabulous affair. You won't want to miss this!
Chef Danial James, a regular cooking class instructor at the WLACC, will be preparing a delicious spaghetti dinner, accompanied by a crisp green salad and potato rolls. For an extra few dollars, a slice of pie or glass of wine can be purchased from the pie and wine bars.
The cost of the spaghetti meal is only $10 and comes with your choice of coffee or lemonade, as well as a variety of fun entertainment. Be prepared to laugh and smile as you listen to live music and singing, dance and enjoy sketches from the drama group Age Cured Hams. Take part in a raffle and win one of many fabulous prizes donated by local businesses and individuals.
Dinner will be served from 4:30-7 p.m., giving attendees time to peruse the beautiful classic cars on display. Make sure to check out the vintage fire truck. Rumor has it that volunteer firefighters will be on hand as well.
Pre-sale tickets are available from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through June 16 at the WLACC front desk. If you purchase four pre-sale tickets, you will be entered into a drawing for a prize. Dinner tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the event as well.
Collected funds will go toward helping the City offer fun and valuable services for those ages 55 or better. Past fundraising endeavors have helped pay for building remodeling, musical equipment, games and other items that benefit seniors at the WLACC. Your support is an essential part of helping them meet goals and further their efforts. The WLACC Gift Shop will also be open during this "fun-raiser," another wonderful way to show your support.
