WL Parks & Rec is registering dancers in a multitude of classes this fall

The fall session brings a full slate of dance classes offered by Van De Veere Productions through West Linn Parks & Recreation.

At this time you can register for trimesters or the full year of classes. Classes include all levels for tap, hip hop, ballet, and jazz, lyrical/contemporary, an all-boys hip hop class and Tiny Tutus for the youngest participants. Fees for classes start at $110 per trimester and up to $378 for a full year of classes.

Guitar and Ukulele

Bill Price teaches both the beginning guitar and ukulele classes. Both beginning classes are perfect for the true beginner.

Each class will have you quickly learning chords, tuning and playing some basic songs. Classes start on Sept. 11; ukulele at 6:30 p.m. and guitar at 7:15 p.m. at the West Linn Adult Community Center at 1180 Rosemont Road. The fee for each class is $78.

Fall Recreation Activities and Events Guide

Nia with Angela Cava

A new Nia class starts at 9:15 a.m. Sept. 11 with Instructor Angela Cava at the Sunset Fire Hall. Nia is for everybody. Come explore the joy of movement with this sensory-based movement practice combining martial arts, dance and healing arts. Students leave feeling reenergized with a sense of body awareness. The class runs Sept. 11-Dec. 18 and has a registration fee of $117.

Fall Fitness Classes at Sachi Wellness

This fall there are many fitness classes being offered through our partners at the Sachi Wellness Center.

The registration fee is $126. Sign up for:

  • Yoga Level 2, Sept. 12-Dec. 12; 9-10:15 a.m. Tuesdays;

  • Align with Ease, Sept. 13-Dec. 13; 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday;

  • Gentle Nurturing Yoga, Sept. 10-Dec. 10; 8:45-10 a.m. Sunday; and

  • Mindful Movement, Sept. 13-Dec. 13, 9:30-10:45 a.m. Wednesday.
