Lake Oswego Republican Women will its monthly luncheon meeting beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Hayden's Lakefront Grill, 8187 S.W. Tualatin-Sherwood Road in Tualatin May 15.
Guest speaker will be Bobbie Jager who was selected as Oregon's 2012 Mother of the Year. She will talk about
the need for choices in education.
Jager and her husband, John M. Jager, have 13 children and have raised them all over the world, as a result of Capt. Jager's responsibilities as a member of the U.S. Air Force. They have experienced all types of education to help their children meet their greatest potential, including private and charter schools, online education, public and home schooling. Over the years Mrs. Jager has developed a passion to help other families find the right educational fit for their children.
"Not every child learns the same way," she says. "We need choices, so every child is able to learn in a way that fits them."
Jager is a lobbyist for School Choice, mentors families to find the right type of education, and speaks on the needs and concerns of Oregon's education.
