Preliminary report indicates a motorcyclist may have lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, resulting in Life Flight activation

Life Flight rescue services had to be activated Wednesday night after a man reportedly crashed his motorcycle on South Mt. Hope Road just south of Molalla.

Around 8:40 p.m. July 12, officials responded to the scene of a crash involving a motorcyclist to see that he was injured critically, according to Lt. Mike Penunuri of the Molalla Fire District.

Penunuri said his information came from Lt. Clint Schaver, who was on call and responded to the scene.

"I don't know if he lost control of his bike or what down a long driveway, but he was critically injured and Life Flight was activated and he was flown to OHSU," Penunuri said in a phone conversation Thursday.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office has been reached out to for additional information.
