The Canby High School Band presents the 23rd annual production of "Christmas with The Trail Band" at Richard R. Brown Fine Arts Center on Friday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. The Trail Band is an 8-piece ensemble that creates a blend of brass and string arrangements and also features five vocalists. The CHS band and director Nick Luchterhand are producing the concert, which will be a celebration of holiday music and storytelling. Tickets are $28 for adults and $15 for students.


Colton High School's football coach Brynie Robinson has initiated the first annual flag football game for any and all CHS alumni. It will be held at the Colton football field, just for the fun of it, on Black Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The snack shack will be open. Come and cheer on your favorite alumni as they go for the flag.


Molalla Fire District has kicked off their annual Operation Santa Claus, with barrels placed throughout the schools and community for the collection of canned goods. Firefighters will be at Safeway on Saturday, Nov. 25 from 1-5 p.m. for their twist on Fill the Boot. They'll be at each door with barrels for food and boots for monetary donations. Sparky the Fire Dog may make an appearance.
