By Feb. 21, state law requires all students to be up to date on immunizations to stay enrolled

Immunizations are required by Oregon state law for children and students in attendance at public and private schools, preschools, childcare facilities and Head Start programs (there is a choice of a non-medical exemption) to stay enrolled.

If your child does not meet the state requirements for immunization the parents or guardian will receive an exclusion notice. This is a letter stating that your children must be immunized or will not be admitted to school starting on the school exclusion date, Feb. 21, 2018.

If your child is still in need of the mandatory school immunizations or a flu vaccine the Colton school based health center provided by Clackamas County Health Centers is able to provide the service. The center is located in the high school and are open Thursday mornings (if school is in session) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The center will bill your insurance and accepts Medicaid. They offer a sliding scale payment for those not insured. These services, along with other medical and behavioral health services by qualified professionals, are offered to children from birth to 18 years-old who live within Colton School District. Call 503-655-8471 to schedule an appointment.
