The evening will include a barbecue and ribbon cutting at the stadium, and a scrimmage of the football team, under new head coach Sean Cease.

The boosters will also be selling the new deluxe seats at the stadium, a collection of seats with arm rests and backs in the high-center area of the stadium.

The special reserved seats are $60 each for the four home games. Other reserved seats will cost $20 per seat per game as well, so the special reserved are expected to go fast. The Aug. 29 event is the first opportunity fans have of securing the seats, so come early.

The event will start at 5:30 p.m. with the barbecue, and ticket sales will start at that time as well. The barbecue is free, but a $5 donation is requested, and certainly more accepted. The event is also a fundraiser for the Buff Boosters.

The ribbon cutting will take place at 6:30 with the scrimmage to start at approximately 7 p.m.

"We'll be introducing all of the players, from freshman to senior class, to recognize them all," said Kelly Simmelink, a key organizer of the event, and the stadium announcer for the football games.

The first official game at the stadium is Sept. 12.

The new football-track stadium was built this year, as part of the 509-J School District's $26.7 million bond passed in 2012.
