Elect Barbara Jensen in the House District 25 seat

To the editor:

Barbara Jensen has the skills and experience to serve our community. I had the pleasure of working with Barbara at the Oregon Department of Energy and was pleased to hear that she is now running for state representative.

As a small business owner and successful project manager, Barbara has the proven leadership skills to find solutions and be accountable for the work she does.March 26 letters to the editor

I have worked in the electric utility industry for many years and as a native to this area Barbara understands how important our affordable energy is for our economy.

Further, as a hazelnut grower, I know that Barbara understands the needs of the agricultural community.

Barbara shares our community’s traditional values. She has worked tirelessly on the “Keep the Spirit of ’45 Alive” campaign to honor the legacy of the men and women who fought in World War II and to teach our youth about the values of the greatest generation.

Barbara has already proven herself as an asset to our community and I look forward to her representation in the Legislature.

Jensen has the experience

To the editor:

Barbara Jensen will provide positive support and solid representation throughout the district as a member of the Oregon House of Representatives. Having worked with and known Barbara for more than 30 years, her platform and abilities are clearly representative of her heritage in our part of Oregon. Her energy and knowledge of administrative requirements and procedures will provide significant value to the district and the state.

As the assistant director for finance and administration for State Lands, I worked directly with Barbara in her role as contracts administrator at general Services for many years. Her standards and ethics were of the highest order. Her leadership proved both effective and efficient in helping us insure compliance with process and legal guidelines.

Over time it was always positive to touch base with her in a variety of work-related roles. And, as the daughter of one of my best friend’s neighbors in Keizer, I have learned of her active roles in community and statewide, even nationwide, projects and adventures.

Electing Barbara as a state representative would be a very positive step for House District 25.
