Jacqueline Elaine Mitchael (Unger) passed on peacefully in Oregon City, OR Sunday, December 31, 2017, at the age of 97.
Jackie was born on August 14, 1920 in Munich, ND to Helen and Pete Unger. She moved to Oregon and attended Scappoose High School, then Oregon Normal School where she graduated with a Teaching Degree.
She married the love of her life, Bud Mitchael in 1947. They settled in Oregon City and raised 3 children. Jackie was a dedicated member of Mt. Pleasant Home Extension. She loved fishing and hunting with family, card games, puzzles, sewing and baking!
She enjoyed friendships and activities at Gilman Park in OC. She loved the residents, and was known for facilitating games and conversation. She was visited by loved ones nearly every day.
Jackie is survived by her brother, Jim; sister-in-law, Helen; brother, Bob; daughter, Kathy; son-in-law, Paul; son, Mike; daughter-in-law, MaryAnn; daughter, Millie and son-in-law, Steve. Grandchildren: Dan and wife, Kimberly; Valerie and husband, Dan; Summer and husband, Tommy, and grandson, Jeff Mitchael. Also, 7 beautiful great grandchildren who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband, L.E. "Bud" Mitchael and her sister, Grace Warner.
A memorial service was held at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Oregon City on Thursday, January 4th followed by a gathering at Gilman Park to share wonderful memories.
