Michael Thomas Hunt
Michael Thomas Hunt went home to be with the Lord and Savior on April 9, 2018 at the age of 37. Michael was born in Portland, Oregon on April 23, 1980 to Robert and Patricia Hunt. He grew up in Tualatin, Oregon. Michael excelled in sports, including football, weight lifting, and track and field for Tualatin High School. He graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Michael enjoyed working as Project Engineer for Skanska.
On May 2, 2015 Michael married the love of his life, Chelsea. Shortly after, they adopted their dog, Milo, who sadly passed away alongside Michael. He loved walking Milo with Chelsea along the Tualatin River at Browns Ferry Park.
Michael was a devoted Christian, who loved volunteering at his church, Athey Creek Christian Fellowship. He was a loving husband and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved spending time outdoors, whether it was playing sports or just enjoying nature. Michael had a passion for motorcycles, cars and trucks. Michael was known for his goofy sense of humor, and he always had a smile on his face. Michael had a love for food and couldn't pass up a bag of potato chips or a good cup of coffee. He had great dreams and goals; he was always planning for the future so he could spend time with Chelsea in doing things they loved to do together.
Michael is survived by his wife; his father; his brother Bobby and wife Celena; his grandmother Nellie Hunt; and his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother; maternal grandparents, John and Ann South; his paternal grandfather Howard Hunt; and his uncle John LaFore.
A memorial was held Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Athey Creek Christian Fellowship.
