Alexander J. Guidry
Alexander J. Guidry, treasured husband, father, son, and friend, went to meet Jesus on May 13, 2018 in Newberg, Oregon. He was born on January 11th, 1978 in Santa Clara, California.
Alex married the love of his life, Cynthia Anne, on March 10, 2012. The life they built together was centered around Jesus and filled with joy, love and dreams. He took every opportunity to praise and affirm her and cared for her tenderly.
Alex was a devoted and intentional father to Jonathan, Tyler, Lauren and Ethan. He was proud of their many accomplishments, but none more than their integrity, character and how they were bringing Jesus' Kingdom to the world around them. His children were the "arrows in his quiver" and he was honored to be their dad. The way Alex lavishly loved his family allowed them all to radiate.
Alex's touch was far reaching, as he was a loyal, good-natured, generous and authentic friend. He was a pillar in the Newberg community and served as Vice President of Newberg's Junior Baseball Organization and was a founding member of Chehalem Valley Elite Baseball Club. He was a dedicated baseball coach and unintentional mentor to countless young men who were drawn to his steadfast spirit.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Cyndi; his honorable sons, Jonathan Guidry, Tyler Guidry, and Ethan Guidry; his 'one and only' daughter, Lauren Guidry; his father, Darrel Guidry; his mother Laura Scott and her husband Charlie Scott; his sister Jennifer (Scott) Johnson and her husband Daniel Johnson; his sister Lisa (Scott) Cummings and her husband Rich Cummings; his nephews James Johnson, Edmond Johnson, and William Johnson; and his nieces Hannah Johnson and Adelyn Cummings.
