Carl Howard Sahr
Carl Howard Sahr, 84, of Estacada, Oregon passed away on Saturday, May 12th after a brief illness. Carl was born on January 18, 1934 in Oakland, Wisconsin to Theodore and Stenette (Tellofson) Sahr. Sixty-two years ago, he married his high school darling, Dorothy Dingledine.
For many years, Carl owned and operated a wholesale petroleum business in Estacada, retiring in 1983. Carl was active in his community as a member of the Estacada Kiwanis Club and the local Chamber of Commerce. He also spent time serving on the Estacada School District Board. Carl loved his sports enjoying golf and skiing, and he was an avid bridge player. Carl loved being a dad and spent many hours supporting his boys as they grew up.
Carl is survived by his wife Dorothy, sons Jeff and wife Rebecca of Columbine Valley, Colorado and Terry and wife Kelly of Phoenix, Arizona. Carl has one granddaughter, Kathryn Sahr, daughter of Jeff and Rebecca who resides in Chicago. He is also survived by his nieces Jannie Willitz, Norma Retzlauff and Shirley Baker and nephew Tom Sahr.
