The Beat Goes On Marching Band (TBGO) has another big summer planned as it once again performs in the oldest Independence Day celebration, July 4 in Bristol, R.I.

Bristol has been celebrating Independence Day since 1785.

The band also will perform on July 3 at Plymouth Rock, Mass., in the shadow of the Mayflower II.

Earlier this year, TGBO performed in San Francisco’s New Year’s parade. In September, the band travels to Shanghai, China, for a series of performances during that city’s annual tourism festival.

Between the Bristol and Shanghai trips, TBGO will play in Newberg, Astoria, Hillsboro and Portland.
