SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The NFL saw a multitude of coach firings on Monday — Chicago's Lovie Smith, Arizona's Ken Whisenhunt, Philadelphia's Andy Reid, San Diego's Norv Turner, Kansas City's Romeo Crennel, Buffalo's Chan Gailey and Cleveland's Pat Shurmur.

So, Oregon Ducks coach Chip Kelly and agent David Dunn will have some options should they do the expected and pursue an NFL coaching job for Kelly.

"I'm coaching the Fiesta Bowl," Kelly said, deflecting NFL talk as the Ducks prepared to face Kansas State in a matchup of 11-1 teams at 5:30 p.m. PT Thursday at Glendale's University of Phoenix Stadium. "I haven't talked to Dave in a while. Everybody knows what I'm doing. I got a game on Thursday night. That's the way it's always been, so ..."

Kelly added that he hasn't talked with his players about the distraction of his name in the NFL coaching picture.

"They understand what the task is at hand," he said. "I don't think about it. They don't think about it, so ..."
