The Vikings (3-5 Big Sky, 5-10 overall) rank last in the conference in field-goal defense (opponents are shooting .489) and 3-point shooting defense (.394). Southern Utah has the league's No. 2 scorer in 6-4 forward Jackson Stevenett (15.7 points per game).

Women's basketball: The Pilots are at San Diego, 7 p.m. … The Vikings (3-6 Big Sky, 9-9 overall) have a 7:30 p.m. home game with Southern Utah (3-4, 9-8), the league's highest-scoring team (70.3 points per game). PSU's Courtney VanBrocklin is No. 2 in the conference in scoring (15.5 points per game) and 3-point shooting (.455). The Viks' Angela Misa ranks second in rebounding (10.6).

Winterhawks: Portland plays at Spokane for the second time in three nights, facing off with the Chiefs at 7 p.m.

Men's basketball: Lewis & Clark visits George Fox at 8 p.m. L&C (5-3 Northwest Conference, 11-6 overall) is battling for second place in the league. George Fox and Whitman also are 5-3. Whitworth leads at 8-0. L&C's Ross Erickson, a 6-6 senior from Sisters, is tied for fourth in NWC rebounding (6.8).

In the Cascade Collegiate Conference, Warner Pacific goes into a challenging road weekend with a 7:30 p.m. game at Southern Oregon. WPC is ranked sixth in NAIA Division II. Warner Pacific is 9-1 in league, a half-game behind No. 1-ranked Eastern Oregon; Southern Oregon is 7-4. The Knights of Southeast Portland have won nine in a row — the longest streak in the conference — and are 18-4 overall. Their plus-13.3 point differential ranks just behind EOU (14.4) in the league. … Concordia (4-6, 10-10) plays at Oregon Tech, 7:30 p.m. The Cavaliers' Adam Herman leads the conference in points per game (24.0) and is second in rebounding (9.7) behind Warner Pacific's Stephen Harris (10.8). Herman also is third in field-goal shooting (.618).

Women's basketball: Oregon State plays at Washington, 6 p.m., while Oregon is at Washington State, 7 p.m.

Lewis & Clark, ranked eighth in NCAA Division III, takes a 7-1 Northwest Conference record and 16-1 overall mark into a 6 p.m. showdown at 18th-ranked George Fox (7-1, 14-3). L&C won the first of two regular-season meetings at home 80-68 on Dec. 31. The Pioneers' Kristrina Williams leads the conference with 18.8 points per game; teammate Taylor Wang is fied for fourth at 13.2. Wiliams also is fourth in rebounding (8.9). They lead a guard-oriented Pios team that is first in NWC scoring with 75.2 points per game.

Warner Pacific (7-3, 12-8) is third in the Cascade Collegiate Conference going into a 5:30 p.m. game at Southern Oregon (5-6, 15-7). The Knights lead the CC in assists (18.9 per game), with Nichole Jackson leading the league with 9.4 per game. WPC's Chelsey Christensen, from Central Catholic High, is the league's top scorer (20.6) and is shooting .549 from the field (second) and .394 on 3-pointers (fourth). . … Concordia (2-8, 8-12) visits Oregon Tech (7-4, 14-7) at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 26

Blazers: A two-day, two-game series with the Los Angeles Clippers begins with tip-off at 7 p.m. at the Rose Garden (KGW 8). The Clippers are battling Oklahoma City and San Antonio for the best record in the NBA.

Winterhawks: Portland plays its third consecutive road game, meeting Tri-City at 7 p.m.

Men's basketball: The 16th-ranked Oregon Ducks have another big test in their push for the Pac-12 title, playing host to Washington at 4 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks). … Oregon State is at home against Washington State, 2 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks). … Portland plays host to WCC contender BYU (5-1, 15-5 after last weekend), 7:30 p.m. … PSU visits Eastern Washington, 6 p.m. EWU's Venky Jois, a 6-7 freshman from Australia, leads the Big Sky in rebounds (9.4 per game); PSU's Aaron Moore is tied for fourth (6.6).

Lewis & Clark plays host to Linfield (2-7, 3-15).

Warner Pacific treks to Oregon Tech to face the defending national champion Owls at 7:30 p.m. OIT is off to a 3-8 start in the Cascade Collegiate Conference but six of the losses were by nine points or less. OIT is 12-11 overall and still in position to make the CCC's postseason tournament. … Also at 7:30 p.m., Concordia plays at Southern Oregon.

Women's basketball: Portland visits Santa Clara, 2 p.m.

Warner Pacific is at OIT, and Concordia plays at Southern Oregon, both at 5:30 p.m.

Lewis & Clark is at home against Linfield, 6 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 27

Blazers: Portland and the L.A. Clippers head from the Rose Garden to Staples Center for a 6:30 p.m. rematch (CSN).

Women's basketball: OSU visits WSU, 1 p.m., and UO is at UW, 2 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks).

Tuesday, Jan. 29

Blazers: Portland plays host to one of the teams also on the outside of the playoffs, if they were to begin today — the Dallas Mavericks. The game starts at 7 p.m. (CSN).

Winterhawks: Portland's fourth consecutive road game is 7 p.m. at Everett.

Wednesday, Jan. 30

Winterhawks: Portland returns home and mets Kamloops at 7 p.m. It will be the Hawks' fourth game in six days.

Men's basketball: Oregon is at Stanford, 8 p.m.
