The Detroit Pistons hit the court at Moda Center, 7 p.m. (CSNNW).

Rasheed Wallace is one of two assistant coaches for player development under head coach Maurice Cheeks.

The Pistons are 2-3.

Former South Medford High star Kyle Singler, in his second NBA season with Detroit after a stellar career at Duke, is a 6-8 reserve forward. Singler has averaged 23.4 minutes per game, with 7.8 points and 2.8 rebounds. He is shooting .364 from the field, with 2 of 12 on 3-pointers. At the free-throw line, he is 13 of 14 (.929).

The Pistons have five players scoring in double figures: smallish starting guards Brandon Jennings, 6-1 (17.7 points) and Will Bynum, 6-0 (10.8), 6-9 veteran forward Josh Smith (18.8) and 6-11 center Greg Monroe (17.8).

Off the bench, 6-5 guard Rodney Stuckey from Eastern Washington University is averaging 13.8 points.

College women's basketball

Oregon State has a 6 p.m. home date with Cal State Bakersfield.

The Roadrunners will be trying to avert a sweep in the state of Oregon, having lost Saturday to the Ducks 131-91.

The Beavers are 1-0 after a 94-49 win Friday at home over Corban.

OSU is excited about freshman point guard Sydney Wiese, 6-0, from Phoenix, who scored 20 points and hit 8 of 11 field-goal attempts in the opener.
