Dumba is fresh off a stint with Canada's team at the world junior championship in Malmo, Sweden.

Also coming back to the Winterhawks from that tournament are D-man Derrick Pouliot and forwards Nic Petan and Taylor Leier, all members of the Canadian team.

Dumba had 16 goals and 26 assists in 62 games for Red Deer in the 2012-13 WHL season.

He was the No. 7 overall pick in the 2012 NHL draft.
